Physical Characteristics of Boran Cattle

Boran cattle are medium-sized animals with distinctive physical features. Specifically, they have a short, strong head and small ears, combined with a loose dewlap and a prominent hump over the shoulders. In addition, Boran may be horned or polled, depending on the line, offering flexibility for herd management. Bulls typically weigh between 500kg and 850kg, while cows weigh around 380kg to 450kg.
